HOW IT WORKS
- Co-ed teams of 4 (2 men and 2 women) compete in matches that consist of 4 games.
- Game 1: women’s doubles
- Game 2: men’s doubles
- Games 3 & 4: mixed doubles
- Games are to 21 with rally scoring (a point is earned after every rally whether it was
won by the serving or receiving team). - Win by 1 except in a Dreambreaker match (tiebreak), win by 2.
- A Dreambreaker occurs when both teams are tied at 2-2 after 4 games are played. This is a mixed doubles match switching teams at 11. The same mixed teams must play in the tiebreak in the same order.
- There’s a freeze at 20 and you must be serving to win.
- A team captain is required for each team.
- There are two timeouts allowed per game for up to one minute.
RULES + SUBS
- Line calls can only be made by the players on the court.
- Lineup sheets need to be filled out prior to the first match.
- In a tiebreak, teams must play in the same order per their lineup sheet.
- Each team is responsible for finding their own subs.
- Teams are required to submit their subs to league coordinators prior to game day.
- Teams are allowed last-minute ‘same day’ subs if they are on the approved sub list.
- Subs must have a rating comparable to whom they are subbing for.
- Teams are only allowed a maximum of 2 subs per game day.
- If a team player is a no-show, they can play someone at a higher level or from
another team but the games don’t count, and it shows as a forfeit.
